Fashion Addict haul

EDIT: A reader has brought it to my attention that Fashion Addict will not post nail polish to certain international locations.

Last week I made my first order from Fashion Addict (Who now ship internationally!!) after stalking my local suppliers for weeks trying to pick up the very elusive Flaming Lava from Face of Australia's Molten Metallics collection. I was very impressed with the prompt shipping. I placed my order the Wednesday before, received a shipping notice on the Thursday and my package was in my hot little hands on Friday!
Originally, I was only going to purchase the one polish, until I saw that domestic orders over $40 get free shipping! So I went a little overboard...

I bought the Face of Australia polish in Flaming Lava that I was after, in addition to a massage therapy lip gloss in Torquay. I also bought 6 BYS polishes; Blue Sapphire, Fuchsia and Amethyst in a box set, and the three polishes from the Wonderland collection; Down the Rabbit Hole, Through the Looking Glass and Adventures of Alice. After all that, I was still a few cents short of $40 so I picked up a hair clip too, which i'm really liking!
Seeing as i'm sold on anything Alice in Wonderland themed after having a character role in my year six musical (hehe), here's two of the BYS glitters with their corresponding colours in OPI's Alice collection.

Adventures of Alice is a green version of Mad as a Hatter, but it is no where near as opaque as the OPI. However, Through the Looking Glass is very close to Absolutely Alice, but the blue glitter is quite big and the gold is more like a micro glitter, with the same opacity issues. So if you missed out on the OPI glitters, these BYS polishes are a rather good alternative in my opinion. Especially as Mad as a Hatter is going for absolutely ridiculous prices on ebay.
Expect to see a post dedicated to Flaming Lava very soon, as I am going to wear it when I go and see Mary Poppins the musical on the weekend.
Aussie ladies, if you'd like to get your hands on some BYS polishes, Cat from The Khromazone is holding a competition in conjunction with Fashion Addict, with the prize being 10 BYS polishes of the winners choice!! Go and check out her Big Birthday BYS Bonanza if you're interested.

I'd love to buy from Fashion Addict but their international shipping is SO expensive. $20 to ship one polish to NZ!

I suppose that isn't too bad seeing as it's $10 within Australia if you don't spend over $40... I would save up and make a big order to make it worth my while I think.

Hello I have been reading your blog for awhile now and I love your designs.. I am leaving this comment only because I am dissapointed. I have seen this type of post stating that Fashion Addict delivers internationally but that isn't totally correct. They do not ship nail polish to international address. I have tried for a fourth time today after seeing similar posts cuz I wanted to purchase the BYS polishes(I can't get then here or find them any other place online)
This is the message I get everytime when I get to the payment part of the order. I just wanted to let you know and other readers that unfortunatly they still do not ship to Canada at least which I am guessing is International. All I had in my cart was nail polish. So it really sucks but I don't know if that is for other countries also I didn't do others. I just copied and pasted what it says:

Unfortunately, due to shipping restrictions we cannot deliver a number of items in your shopping cart to your selected delivery country, Canada.

Below are the details of the products that cannot be delivered to your country
To continue with your order please click on the 'Remove Restricted Items' button below to remove the restricted items from your cart and proceed with your order.

Anyways, I just wanted to let you know cuz I keep seeing the same message that they now ship internationally but they don't ship nail polish and they don't ship everywhere. Do you ladies have a hard time with nail polish where you live too? I have had no problems from Germany, USA, China and a few other stores in different locations but this one will not ship to me. It makes me very sad..... As always I look forward to your next posts.. Have a great day!!!
Nicky

i am sorry Nicky, I was not aware that Fashion Addict are still imposing restrictions on the postage on nail polish. I have found through my dealings with the company that they are very nice and extremely helpful. Perhaps shoot them an email and ask if they have any plans to post polish to Canada?
I have terrible trouble getting my hands on certain brands of polish here, and the ones I can find are awfully expensive, for instance OPI and Zoya go for AU$20 and $17 respectively. The Nfu Oh supplier have only just got their act together and the only way I can get Nubar is through ebay, which i'm not comfortable with.
We are also not allowed to post nail polish internationally, this makes it very hard to do swaps or host giveaways.
Thank you for bringing this to my attention, it is not my intention to ever communicate misinformation through my blog, and I will edit my post. I would love it if you would comment on posts you like too! Feedback gives me a better idea of what my readers would like to see on my blog :)
